Oh and I felt like I finally *got* Lost. Hooray for me!

I still play the World of the Warcraft. Pewpewing on my lock. Since the 3.1 patch my computer has been limping along in terms of graphics performance so in the past month I've purchased a new video card and a new power supply. I'm installing the power supply tonight. Hopefully I do not electrocute myself and/or kill my computer. My lag in 25-man raids is so bad I have to actually guess where things are happening or where my toon is going to be. I HAVE TO PREDICT THE FUTURE TO PLAY WOW LOL

I bought of copy of "O" which is Oprah's magazine. I thought it might have some interesting articles since I powered through my Vogue and Vanity Fair for this month (I'm sorry but that black Balenciaga cocktail dress is not my favorite look for this fall and LOL @ VF backing up my statement that Putin is crazy).

Anyway, "O" is kind of patronizing to be honest. I flipped through it and read some of the articles and I just felt like I was being preached at. Maybe the Oprah-bots like being spoken to that way but I was all, "Let me draw my OWN conclusions." and "O Hai you don't have to spell out the moral of the story! Not that hard to get!"

So, I probably won't be buying it again. Oh well.

I thought the post was rather interesting and kind of cool but the comments are just ridiculous. I've been a member for over four years and it's like every fall we get a whole new slew of people who move there to ~follow their dreams~ and just ruin it for the rest of us.

OH OH and people who are like "DUR HOW DO YOU KNOW IF HE WAS A VAGRANT OR NOT? I DRINK BEER ON THE SUBWAY TOO AND IM EMPLOYED." Guantánamo video shows interrogation of sobbing Canadian youth

I'm going to be really honest, I don't quite understand how a kid who allegedly (he hasn't had a trial yet) threw a grenade at a soldier ends up in Guantanamo Bay for 6 years. I mean, does it normally take 6 years before a trial is available? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm being serious. I guess this kid was the son of a friend of some high ranking officials in Al'Queda
(lol got it?) and was found in Afghanistan. I have no doubt he was probably participating in the insurgency and if he was an adult I probably wouldn't be too upset by this. But a 16 year old sobbing to go home is just a bit much and if he's a Canadian citizen I'm suprised that the Canadian government didn't detain him in one of their prisons.

With that being said, when my cousin was in Iraq one of the things he saw was a child lob a grenade into an open hummer that some of his soldiers were driving. The soldier just thought the kid was waving at first and then when he saw the kid throw it he just figured it was a rock (who expects a child to throw a friggin grenade??). His fast thinking buddy next to him grabbed a sandbag and blocked most of the force but his arm did get blown off. By a kid. Throwing a grenade.

But it's war, I guess. *sigh*

We're raising a generation of kids that think they deserve people's respect and deserve things in life without having to earn it. And I'm over it. WoW may be a game that you all don't understand, but the social aspect of it is the same as it is in life.
